Anyone else ever have a BAD manager?? How did YOU deal? I am pretty sure throwing food at them is not a great idea, but I def considered it in the past, haha.

Seek first to understand then to be understood. You need to understand and deal with the angry person. You need to learn how to deal with it. Apply proper personal management skills, read up on the subject. Find out why the person is being angry, get to the core of the problem, there has to be a reason: but most importantly do not react stay focused and calm. Do not allow this angry to penetrate your skin and rob you of your joy. It takes two to tangle. Do not engage the anger. Remain calm and understanding by not taking it personally, it has nothing to do with you personally. By handling the lion you will conquer the other beast that you come into contact with in your life. DO not run away or play ostrich (by putting your head in the computer or ignoring the person). Let the person also know that it is not ok to address you with disrespect and let them know in turn you will address them with respect. Give it some time to course correct, it probably did not develop over night and it will not go away over night.

I had one for several years. No one like her and did everything to avoid her. I took a different approach and made it a point to say good morning and I made sure our paths crossed every day. I asked her every day if I could do something for her and at the end of the weekend I would call her cell phone and ask if there was anything she needed for Monday morning. She did not change very much, but it made me stronger. Don't run from anger - meet it, greet it and then beat it. I was Promoted over her and I did not return her favor. The Board asked me one day, after a meeting, why I never treated her as she treated others. I told them that everyone here is allowed a bad moment and that the day can still be great. Don't let others drag you out of a happy place. Stand stong in who YOU are. No one defines YOU better than YOU. And make sure that when your cup is tipped only good comes out of it. Anyone can be angry, it takes a special person to be graceful. So go forward and make yourself that special person.

I worked at a school once where the principal was THE worst. She screamed at the children all the time and if that weren't bad enough if she didn't like you she made your life a living hell. It was like the movie Mean Girls, but with adults haha. I ended up leaving. I couldn't stand it there another school year.

At the end of the day if your boss makes you miserable you need to rethink what you're doing.

Here's the best course of action to take. And I myself wish I had followed the advice I was given years ago. First, learn your rights. Google it, etc. Do an in-depth research. Second, if needed, use a hidden recording device. Because this will show proof of how you are being treated, then play it to someone who can help you. For example, play it to their boss. Or you can file a grievance charge. The bottom line is that you shouldn't have to be bullied and or take ANY form of abuse! Frankly, who cares why or how they are! There's NO excuse for this! And hopefully, low lives like that will pay!

Then they shouldn't be a manager; they have to be PC and calm. If they're not; report them.
