How important is a profile photo on Jobcase?

I agree with Scott. I was always surprised to see a photo on a candidate's online application and it does have an impact on how someone connects with that individual. I think it's one of the reasons I engage moreso with some video presentations than others because it seems to make it feel more genuine when I can see the expressions and gestures the presenter displays. It does seem to be human nature that we visually connect with each other that way...

I've always used it as helpful information as a person hiring - everything is subjective - images affect our response, reaction, and relating towards and about individuals - maybe just subconsciously. I'm always interested in the views of those doing the hiring because I expect them to be very biased.

I’m interested

Disagree. That is straight up judging a book by it's cover.

If i had to choose a book just by it's cover it would be the book that stands out from the others.for example a nicely put together well detailed..leather back..rather then a book that's missing half it's pages.. and the back is missing

On job boards I don't worry too much about what companies think - OK, my LI profile picture is my company logo, not me in Mickey ears, here they get to see me be the real me, I'm authenic.

The way you look isn't really the question..

A profile picture has the up most importancy of someone...It shows you if someone seems to be put together.pro efficient and professional in appeance...yes your picture will tells alot of ones skills

How would the way you look determine yur ability to do yur job? Just asking?
@Bill Branstetter, well, I've never been all that photogenic, but if I were an employer, I would stop on a jobseeker with a photo before I would on one that doesn't have a photo.
I think it creates a human connection, and our expressions can tell a lot about us....
