Why is it so hard to find a job these days #unemployed

Because we want pay that includes enough income not to require food stamps

You really have to market yourself, have previous work experience, and perhaps have a connection at the company you are applying with.

There are jobs put there, depending on what you are looking for. What does your resume look like? What skills do you have? Are you only looking for jobs that pay well, or above what your skill level is? There are many factors. How are you dressing if you get an interview? Employers are being picky, not that I blame them. Nobody wants to work, or they want to make $20+ an hour and do nothing, or call out all the time.

Resume , do you want workers or robots

I am in the same boat I have applied on indeed amongst many recruiter options and it takes five weeks to get a background check on ZipRecruiter. My family thinks I’m lazy and I don’t do anything to get a job it is very frustrating I feel ya

It’s hit and miss with the job search. Sometimes you just get lucky. You need to be persistent. Check on Staffing agencies as well. Let them know your skills and your shift of choice.

Entitlement may be one thing but you also need to pay your bills and survive - how can you live on $18 an hour and survive without being homeless

Odd that Dale says this as my neighbor who is in her late 50’s has been seriously job hunting for months and nada. She’s well spoken, hard working etc. She moved to this state to be closer to family is the only reason she is back out job hunting as you left a job she had for numerous years to make this move.

I think because now companies can be more selective
As a small business owner I know first hand the problem is not interviewing the right person the problem is finding someone that is actually willing to work for a paycheck people today want maximum pay for minimal output if you want a job you can have one by the days end it all depends on you.
