I was recently turn down for a position at CSL Plasma. I am qualified smart organized and was very open and honest during my interview. Any ideas why I would have been rejected?

There are a million and one reasons why you might not have been selected. It's very possible they had literally hundreds of applicants for the position. You said you were open and honest. How honest and about what? Sometimes too much information is TOO MUCH information. I often wondered why I was not selected for positions I was fully qualified for and took it very personally. I did a lot of research on the subject of interviewing and learned a lot of things. Often it is as stupid as the interviewer hates the color purple and you come in with a purple dress. I am serious. How many interviews have you been on? Even if you don't get the job look at them as learning experiences. Obviously, there are certain things you should and shouldn't do at an interview. Have you done your research? Walking in cold, with the belief that you'll get the job because you have the right qualifications is probably going to bring you a lot of heartache. It's just not that simple or fair these days. People have all kinds of reasons for selecting one person over another and little of it has to do with being qualified. It's sad but true.

They may have hired someone with qualifications they preferred as the top prospect for the job!

Something happened with me at a place an trust it wasn't about my work ethics. I kick butt π anywhere I go.

One observation: consider how important the use of "Standard English" is for the position, and work to improve your usage in even everyday communications. (Please note: I don't "know" you beyond what you wrote in asking the question, but the first thing that struck me as problematic was using "turn" instead of the past-tense "turned". I ain't the grammar police here, plenty of my own shortcomings & typos exist in evidence of that, so PLEASE take this as my attempt to help!)

Are you people crazy! It may not be anything directed towards the candidate. The job could have been geared for someone else. DO NOT FAULT YOURSELF FOR NOT GETTING THAT JOB. The job was not yours in the first place. Be happy π

Best answer is to email Human Resources of the company whom declined to hire you. Best of luck

Itβs hard to say the company may have already had someone in mind but had to go through the process for legal purposes

Could of been your posture or how you responded to your answer

It is hard to find the reason. So many people want to get hired, and some are not qualified for the position. Keep applying for the jobs.
It may have nothing to do with you. Sometimes employers get so many qualified candidates that they might go with someone who was more experience and skills than you. Think about the questions you were asked. Google some of those questions you were asked and up and see how those others have answered them compared to you.
Interviewing is about "selling yourself". Honesty is the best policy but you want to make sure you are communicating how you are the best candidate for the job. Good luck!
