Hi Theresa, In New York, you have to become a certified teacher through the State Education Department. You would have to reach out to see what each State requires.

To qualify for a Substitute teacher job, you can consider the following options for training:

  1. Contact your local school district or education service center to inquire about their requirements and any available training programs.
  2. Explore online platforms like Jobcase, Udemy, or Coursera that offer substitute teacher training courses.
  3. Check community colleges or universities in your area for relevant education programs or courses.
  4. Connect with professional organizations such as the National Substitute Teachers Alliance (NSTA) for resources and training opportunities.

Remember, it's important to research specific state and district requirements to ensure you meet the necessary qualifications. Good luck with your job search! #Jobcase #SubstituteTeacher #TrainingOpportunities
