Is this normal?: interview follow-up
I had an interview on Monday that I thought went really well. The interviewer had to head into another meeting though before I could ask all of my questions but she said she would send me an email so I can ask the rest of my questions. On Tuesday i sent a thank you note through the recruiter and since then I havent heard back from either. Am I just being paranoid? #interview #followup #advice

well they could be interviewing a lot of people. they can pick and choose who they want in this job market. you may or may not hear back. do not put all your eggs in one basket and keep applying.

I would say wait through today as there was a holiday last week

Chii 88: In my experience, and I ve changed various jobs to improve on my salary, more often than not, I m hired on the spot. And usually, they take more time to talk to me. Even getting more on a personal level. Like this boss who asked me about connections for her son. I thought that was odd, but she had hired me on the spot. Move on. Your answer to something triggered her rejection. But, she could not be so upfront!

I’m sorry- I have to disagree with everyone. Corporate world is not like your world. Your urgency is not theirs. You don’t know what fires they have to put out. And what emergencies if they have some are going on at that moment and if they are traveling. Or the urgency of filling that role.
I remember when I was Interviewing for a position - it took four months.
It’s up to you.// if you want to be with this company or not.
You can go with another one as interim - I would absolutely not ever turn down an opportunity to interview with the president. Or anyone. It’s always good practice and a way to network

There are many reasons that are not your fault. Perhaps there is someone in the company who they are going to move into that position or they have promised it to someone else and they have to interview a certain number of people they have no intention of hiring. Keep looking and applying until you have a firm offer. Don't hang around waiting for them to give you an answer.

That's normal
Usually it meant they will not hire you. Move on no need to wait. Personal experience, 3 month ago, I had interviewed with the director for almost 3 hours for hybrid position for Accounting position (2 days in office and 3 days wfh) and she never email or call me back about the result. I moved on. One month later, she made a request to setup second interview. This time it will be with the president of the company. I rejected her request. No regret.
