Fustrated

Had 3 interviews with a casino dream job I applied for a porter but since I have 30 yrs at pizza hut 15 as a manager they asked me if I would like to be a supervisor I said yes. They said they had a worker leaving and they just bought out another casino.my boyfriend came with me and by my 2nd interview they asked me what he did I said casino the guy said he wanted to pick his brain a little I felt like they wanted him more than me. It went so well but when he said they would call me Monday and didn't I was disappointed I did a follow-up 2 times. I'm moving on. I looking for work a career now I'm still at pizza hut part time and work at a gas station full time that's not what I want to do forever now that I'm applying places they wanna put me in retail or some low paying job no I don't have a resume I really need advice please thanks

One question that I hate to answer and I know it can make the world of difference as to how you are viewed in an interview. What is the best way to answer the following question? Why do you want to work for XYZ Corp?

I hate that one too, I feel like it puts me on the spot! I think if you research the company before the interview, it can help you pick out what you like about them. Do they have a good company culture? Do they make a difference in your community? Do they value work/life? Stuff like that.

Hi David,

The best way to go about this question is to do research on the company and get to know the products and services they provide. Before going to the interview, write down what catches your attention about this company, whether it's the product, objectives, or their values.

Think about it in this perspective, if you were the employer, you would want a person who helps your company move forward and not backward.

I just had an interview with a few managers at a Chick-fil-a. I was little nervous than I should be. But, I'm not sure if I did well or really bombed. I was supposed to hear from them today. Nothing yet. Should I take the time to call back tomorrow or just move on?

I think it's non gift for gab or conversation. I mean I can hold a conversation but I'm not good at starting them.

Job Fair "Ride Along"

I’d like to attend a job fair tomorrow but I’m having trouble finding a sitter. Would it look bad if I took my daughter?

Appreciation Gift

I’m thinking of including a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card along with my interview “Thank You” letter but I’m not sure if that’s appropriate. Would that be too weird??

Interview Question???

I was asked about my age during an interview yesterday and I think my answer may have spoiled my chances. Is that an appropriate question? Should I report it?

Senior seeking employment!

Senior experience and know how are no longer an advantages on my resume. Can anyone suggest a better way to market my accumulated and skills work experience more effectively?
