Then there was THAT time
Had a driver in Seattle, must have thought it was karaoke cab, except it was the driver singing, and not a very good singer. Sang about everything we drove past even went around the block (twice) cause we didn't see the right person they were singing about standing in line for a movie.. haha #MyDrives

Be on time or be fired.
Picked up a fare that stated they were running late for work again and they would be fired if try were late one more time. It was five o'clock traffic and they had to get across town. I took back routes around traffic and got the fare to their destination five minutes early. She was so grateful she began to cry as she thanked me. It was avgreat feeling knowing I helped this person. #MyDrives

We're going where?!
So it's 11:45 pm... I'm just about to stop driving for the night and I figure, I'm in Pacific Beach, I can take one more short ride... 30 seconds later - ping - there's the request - 2 minutes away, cool! Here's my group, load them in the car and hit "start trip". Wait... SHERMAN OAKS?! Yep... 2 hours 20 minutes ONE WAY! Needless to say, I made new friends... These guys were a blast! Plugged in using my AUX cord and rocked 80's music prompting a spontaneous 2 hour karaoke session... Didn't get home until 4 a.m., but it was SO worth it! Great way to end my Friday night! #MyDrives

Want to go home
Party night in Nebraska and I took 4 girls back to an apartment to freshen up. Three got out of the car and the 4rh just wanted to go home. She said she just lived a little north from my location. I had to help request myself on Uber due to her being intoxicated. Her living a little north turned out to be about a 25 minute drive and she fell asleep in the back seat. I had to wake her up by putting all the windows down on the car. Needless to say she made it home safe and sound. #MyDrives

Memorable driving client
My most memorable rider was on St. Patrick's day of 2016...I picked up a rider and she was so drunk that she laid down in my back seat... I rolled the windows down so she could get some air...While I was driving on the express way... She had to throw up so I pulled off the road so she could get sick outside the door...after she got done I gave her a bottle of water and she laid back down and I got her home and helped her to her door. #MyDrives

Chicago trip
Recently I received a request for a ride, the client called immediately after request and asked if I would take him to Chicago, I stated I would. During ride we talked briefly about people, business, and ourselves. Halfway to destination it was a downpour and it was going to be a longer ride then anticipated. We chuckled and continued on our way. It was a great conversation all the way there and the ride was most pleasant for myself and my client. Thank You Uber for giving me the opportunity to meet such great people. #MyDrives

Most Trusted Uber Driver
I was driving in San Diego, working towards my $750.00 bonus for hitting 100 rides within 30 days. There was a $1700.00 guarantee offered if I could accomplish this by May 19th (my first ride was given on May 6th). So on the 18th of May, I determined to reach that goal - I had 15 rides to go as of the morning of May 18th......
Later in the afternoon, I had the pleasure of picking Patrick up from the Hyatt in downtown San Diego. He had just flown in from Florida that morning and was on his way to a business dinner/meeting in Encinitas. We talked about his day and about mine - he was ride number 98!
I dropped him off for his meeting and picked up another ride taking me to Leucadia. Ride #99. Then ride #100 went from Leucadia back to Encinitas.
The next ride offered was for a "Patrick" in Encinitas - same place - and yes! same person!! What a pleasure to be able to take him back to San Diego (rush hour traffic this time). I knew the trick to getting back close to his location and appreciated the awesome smile as he got into my back seat.
The biggest compliment a person can give to a driver is to be relaxed enough with their driving to be able to sleep in their car. (Especially with that kind of traffic!)
I had to wake him up when we got to the Hyatt!! He was VERY appreciative and gave me an extra cash tip as well.
Absolutely the most pleasurable memory driving Uber! I have a lot of good and memorable rides - I LOVE driving! #MyDrives

I Just Don't Drive, I Connected With People
I started driving with Uber on the biggest night of the year - 2015 New Year's Eve. I was nervous and I didn't know the city very well. My riders were not all sober and my rating went down so very quick. You know what it's like on the first day in a new job, right? Exactly! I made $150 for the five rides I made, not bad on a first night. I eventually left my full-time job mid-January to take care of an ill loved one and decided to do Uber driving on a part-time basis to maintain a double income household. I chose to drive drive at night at first for the reasons of better traffic situation so i can get done as quickly as possible. I had so many unforgettable experiences driving with Uber, but, the one that truly stood out is: This lady somewhere in Wayne, PA requested a ride and wanted to go to a nearby Wawa store. I started the navigation and she started a conversation with me. She was boozed I could tell and I asked her if she's ok. She said, she is not ok so I responded oh, I'm sorry to hear that. She started telling me her situation why she's boozed and it turned out that her aunt was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I was astounded and I let her know how sorry I feel for her and told her, I know how it feels because I, myself is dealing with the same situation. My husband has it and it's on advanced stage, that is exactly why i am driving Uber - to have a time to take care of him and make money at the time when somebody's looking after him. Her story resonated with my story and we just connected in a different level. It was not a long trip and by the time we reached the destination, she asked if I could give her a ride back home and I certainly did and waited for her while getting her stuff from the store. When she was approaching my vehicle she opened the passenger door and handed me a gift card, and I asked her what is this for? She said for me for listening to her story and she confessed that she just needed somebody to talk to. I thanked her and she thanked me. I felt emotional that night and I actually cried after dropping her off. People meet for a reason and this one is to give some comfort and relief to the other person who is new to the situation. I had two other lady passengers with fathers who also had the same illness. One lady gave me a hug before she got out of my vehicle on 1200 Market St. in Philadelphia, too long of a hug that a cop behind us had to flash his lights on us. Other than that, I was asked for relationship advice by about four people and I was happy that I have shed some light on their boggled minds. Oh, I was also often asked about my name: Is that your Uber name or a nickname? My response: It's my real and only name. #MyDrives
