When can I start ?

I have been on unemployment since May 2024 . My unemployment benifits have expired and I have been looking non-stop ever since I was laid off. To be a support technician you have to be a good listener, good problem solver, the ability to assist in a timely manner, have good communication skills, good understanding of what the specific problem is and patience, not only with the act of support but with the customer your assisting. Customers call for support because they can't figure it out and sometimes you'll get an irate customer that isn't real easy to communicate with because they are upset. Give empathy when it's necessary and staying calm, collective and having patience will go a long way.

I actually concur with Jaycee! The certifications will REALLY help you better understand whether or not you’re “cut out” to be a support technician. There are a A LOT of people who have all of the certifications that are offered! But either they REALLY DON’T want to be a support technician? Or they’re just really BAD at the job? Or a host of other reasons why they’re simply NOT a GOOD fit for the area of Information Technology. There’s a website called www.cybrary.it that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you visit! You can try their courses Out for FREE! And if you’re still interested in getting a couple of certifications, then you can subscribe to their website and get ALL KINDS of certifications and training courses from them!! I’ve been working on my Security+ certification for a while now, but I’m getting there!! I hope this information helps you out to determine whether or not you would like to be a support technician?
