Chicago Job Fair

Suggestions for the Next Jobcase-Chicago Urban League Job Fair?
Did you have a chance to attend the June 21st Citywide Job Fair?
If so, do you have any thoughts about it? Did you get an interview or a job? Do you have any thoughts on how we can make it better?
If you weren't able to attend, can you suggest anything we can do to make the job fair more accessible?
This is an annual event and the planning for next year is already underway, so your feedback will be put to good use!

Am looking for a mental and behavioral work job

Mr. ALBERTO PEREZ
I enjoyed the fair with the exception that it was only 4 HOURS. An a Lot of the recruiters where NOT excepting resumes. Kind of made you feel, well I could have gone online and not taken a day OFF Work Or School, to go there. The Fair in my opinion, (thats Just Me), Should Have been an 8 Hour(at least) fair considering its only once(1) a Year. but I had fun.

What companies will be there?

Don't Play The Waiting Game!
To really cement yourself in someone’s memory after a job fair, you’ll want to follow up with them as soon as you can. So why wait for that awesome first impression you made to fade before getting in touch?
Use the contact info you gathered to send follow up emails to all the reps of companies you’re interested in within 24 hours of the job fair. And if you haven’t yet, send your follow up emails as soon as possible!
Follow up emails should be short, easy to read and contain the following:
A quick “thank you” message. Let them know quickly that you appreciated them taking the time to speak to you during the event.
A memorable moment. Jog their memory a bit by mentioning something about yourself or something you discussed that gives them an indication of exactly who you are. The more specific you can be, the better.
The job you want. There may be many various positions open at their company, so let them know which one you’ve got your sights on and, in a few words, why you think you’re qualified.
Your resumé. Having a digital version in their hands is also a plus, as they can easily forward it to colleagues if they so choose.
So don’t play the waiting game with company reps! As time passes, their memory of you, your awesome elevator pitch, and the great conversation you had is fading away. Establish yourself as a truly memorable candidate by sending a follow up email today.

Frustrated
I've applied for positions that I know that Im qualified for just to get told that we've decided to go with someone who's skills are closer match to what we are looking for, but then only to look on line to see the same position still posted on line, this job search is really, really getting frustrating
