What NOT to wear: Virtual interview edition!
Whether you're prepping for a virtual interview or are heading to a Zoom meeting, you should approach it exactly as you would an in-person interview, including the way that you dress!
You may think that your slightly pixelated webcam won’t pick up your coffee stained T-shirt, but you’d be surprised by how easily the eyes can wander during a video call!
What is one thing you should NEVER wear to a video interview or meeting?? Comment below!

Thank you. Margo Hawkes CRIS

Don't wear earphones, it looks like you can't wait to do something else

I would also add check your background.

No pjs please.

Great , thanks for that , but what if they set a date and time and then , they call you and say that we need to take the interview now , like in 10 min , what should i do , if it happens What if i am on the street?

If you have no fashion sense like me,ask a friend who seems really good at finding the right thing to wear all the time. Some men are good at it but it's mostly women who are best at making you look sharp. I hope that's not a sexist thing to say,Ford

I once had an interview over camera for a job. I was going to be working remote while the rest of the office was based in California.
During the interview I decided to wear a nice shirt, a tie, and a jacket...and basketball shorts. LOL
The interview went fantastic! Then the interviewer was like, "It looks like you really dressed the part too. Stand up so we can all get a look at the suit."
Well, I did not get that job. So yes...still dress to impress and put in 100%, you never know when you will be asked to stand up.

Don't wear clothes that make you feel insecure. It's just as important to feel confident for virtual interviews!!
Dress as though you are going to an actual interview in a physical office. For men, it should be a formal business suit and tie. Women should dress in either a pantsuit or jacket and skirt combo, with a conservative top. You can't go wrong with overdressing, especially on an initial interview. It will make you appear professional and serious about the job.
Once you have the job, there are loads of business fashion sites for men and women to adapt to their own circumstances. I've seen some that have attractive ensembles for working from home, casual and comfortable but businesslike. When and if this is ever over with, the concept of "business casual" will be changed forever.
