What’s really going on?

Why can’t I find a job? What’s happening? I’ve had at least 4 interviews with one company and 3 with another, but no job offer. Why? I was so close the manager went of the job schedule, I was sure this was it? Then, nothing ... just nothing! I can’t take it anymore!

Rita, I read your profile and resume. Maybe you were sending out cover letters that listed your achievements? Because they are not in what I saw here on jobcase. You want to highlight for each job you had, what did you do, that others did not do. How did you go above and beyond. Otherwise the resume just looks like job duties. And those interviewing want more than that. My thoughts are you need a section for achievements or highlights. Good Luck.

Mca at Sears Holdings

I'm in the same boat.I've been out of work since my SEARS store closed back on Sep 3rd, 2017 and I've had over 5 interviews with nothing to show for it I can say for a fact that if you are over 55-60 it's going to get harder and harder to get work. I was @ Sears for ALL my ADULT LIFE from 1979-2017 and one would think that with ALL that experience I would get hired by someone, but it hasn't worked out that way. Religion don't have a thing to do with it.It's your hard work to fill out applications every chance you get. Religion willn't help you pay your bills, ect.all I can say is to keep trying

Rita: I am job hunting to. Because you didn't get hired, don't worry about it. Just keep on going. i don't know where you live, so go to your nearest Dept of labor, log in, as a person lost your job. You will get assistance from them. Benefits, is what it's called. The feds and the state will help. Maybe find a waitress job. My daughter, got her BA, in marketing, from the University of Buffalo, and worked as a waitress. I don't if you have a laptop, if not go to the dept of labor and your local library. Even your local paper, but everything now is on the WEB. Even though my kids are grown, i still support them. Best advice I can give. Eventually, something will break.
