Director Of Operations at The Foundation For Tomorrow Inc

Searching...

I have been searching for a job for the past 3 months, I am currently a Director of Operations for a nonprofit that does work in Africa. The job is now being relocated to Africa. I just haven't had any luck finding something. My experience is all over the place, former principal of a charter school, teacher, lawyer, and now DOO for nonprofit. Trying to stay in Charlotte. Please keep me in your prayers, I know its coming soon.

Front Service Clerk at Publix

Publix is hiring for your same position in the corporation, but the corporation is located somewhere in Florida. If I were you, I would work for a district office for Publix under the district manager office because they need just like you. Look into it if I were you.

Ramon, have you tried to place your resume on USAJOBS.gov or Federeralgovernmentjobs? With your background could place you in a lot of locations even overseas.

Hey Ramon, Seems like the more work experienced and education you have the harder it is to find a suitable job right? 3 months is a long time but that's far below the average job search grace period for candidates with your level of education and experience.

In the meantime, get to work on centralizing that experience on your resume. You can seek a local career advisor via the CareerOneStop webpage and make an appointment with a career counselor to help you build a better resume. Then get Rolodex out and reach out to as many friends, family, and prior work colleagues. Reach out to anyone and everyone who can help you or refer you to a career opportunity.

Your next job is more than likely going to come from a referral from someone you know. Get out and network. I’ll keep an eye out for interesting career opportunities opening in your area and forward them out to you . Stay connected to the Community for info on hiring events, news, and career advice. My prayers go out to you & yours my friend. Stay Blessed!

Hi Ramon, I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough transition! I did find a bunch of Director of Operations jobs near you: http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/q-Director-Of-Operations-l-Charlotte,-NC -- you could apply to a few of those, but since your experience is so vast you might want to broaden your search. Have you tried going to any networking events at all?
