What job did you have where you loved your coworkers?

I see so many posts in the community about jobs our members loved because of their coworkers. It's the number one reason that I've seen on why people loved their job. When was a time that you were part of a team that just crushed like these laborers are doing here with this spike? What do you think was the reason you were all so effective working together?

Over 20 years of administrative work and project management.

Any job where I worked in Human Services was a good group because everyone cared about the people and less about the paycheck. I worked with the blind for 5 years and the dedication was amazing. There was no task too small and everyone bent over backwards to help each other. There were at least 4 people that had worked there for over 50 years who have since passed away. When they passed, we all mourned together since we were like family.

Aside from that, the company paid about $20000 to interview a huge amount of the staff to see what they could change to make things better, and then implemented those changes that were common themes. I think all companies should do that.

One of the best stories from that job was when a woman told me she was crying one day and her "nemesis" at work walked up and saw her crying and just hugged her. Even though they did not get a long, it was a human thing to do and that is how most people there behaved.

I did when I worked at walmart. I think it was because of our department manager and since I was in shoes I was the jewelry dept lunch relief. I loved both departments my co workers the job in general. I have been to other Walmart stores that were definitely not the same. One other job I loved was as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant. I loved the experience..

In my opinion, I believe that more than loving the coworkers, we have to love the work that we are doing.

The time I worked that I loved to work with my coworkers was when my prior employer was a small business prior to the last company acquisition by a medium international corporation. The office consisted of 5 employees so everyone had many different hats on top of their core responsibilities. The fostered a collaborative ecosystem that we could get a lot of work done with a small amount of people. For example, this lead to the creation of a data entry database in order to transition from a cd based product to one with real time updates based on the internet. I had knowledge of how clients used open Government databases to locate Government contracting opportunities and how that data was structured and used. The collaboration with researchers and technical support ended with creating a database that increased researcher productivity by fifty percent and lasted fifteen years.
