Unemployed for 13 months
I have been unemployed for 13 months, I have went on countless interviews, but none of them have called me back I don’t if it’s because my past supervisor no longer works for the company so my reference aren’t to good but I have given them their personal numbers, of course with their permission, and I know that it can’t be because I lack the experience . I just don’t know what to do I have lost my apartment and my car because the lack of funds. And to top it off I am a mother to 3 minor kids.

Hi Ronesha Johnson - I am so sorry to hear about your struggles in the job search. I know that it is tough, but you are tougher! If your past supervisor is not giving a good recommendation, I would try to contact your other coworkers or someone else who could provide a character reference. Even though they will not be someone in a managerial position over you, it is still better than no reference at all.
