I found this video of a worker creating a holiday item by bending steel wire (any guesses for what it will be)? It got me thinking that the busiest I've ever been at work was when I was waiting tables during a Mother's Day brunch. I don't think I stopped moving for 10 hours that day. Have you ever worked or are working in a position that is always busy during the holiday season?

While in high school and a few years after I worked in retail at the mall. Eddie Bauer, Aeropostal to name a couple. I didn't mind the people but I disliked the job.

I worked for McAlpins Department Store which was located indoors, inside a mall. My position I was a gift wrapper. People bought a gift here and wanted it wrapped right away. That kept us very busy at Christmas time. I guess any work inside would be great right now - just keep extra masks handy!

I worked as a retail supervisor years ago. All holidays were extremely busy. Valentines Day and Christmas time was by far the worst. We had extended hours during Christmas. Which meant we closed at midnight and had less than an hour to turn the store around to opening conditions. Going home with swollen feet, starving and exhausted only to be at work the next day for another 12 shift. I have so much respect for hard working underpaid retail workers.

Yes! I worked at restaurants as a server to pay for college and pretty much ANY holiday was busier than it normally would be. I never worked Christmas, but Christmas Eve was always packed!

Retail - Kohl’s ... loved the busy time plus great employer and they had special days to treat employees - days passed faster.
