4 yr degree or Masters for a $12 an hour job?

I'm confused. When did careers paying $12-15 an hour require a 4 year or Masters degree? And on top of that 2-10 years experience.

In my recent job searches I'm running into this time and time again. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a Masters and I won’t work for less then 35 start. Maybe $25 but that would depend on the position and company.

Thats a TOTAL SCAM! Theres no way I would work for a job only paying $12 when you have a masters degree and then on top of that 2-10 experience? I would understand if they was paying more .... they will never hire anyone with those requirements!

Show case some of your key strengths in your resume or a cover letter/intro email so that the employer focuses on that rather than education. I know when I hire for a role, I focus more on actual experience and skill set rather than education even though education requirements are on the job description. Don't let the education requirements or experience stop you from submitting an application. Best of luck!
