My age. Interviewers are all enthusiastic about talking to me on the phone making the interview appointment, but then they see me and then the whole conversation changes into how I wouldnt quite be "a good fit"

Experienced Human Resource Manager within the Manufacturing and Production areas

I believe my employment gap and my age are hurting me. I also do not believe recruiters take the time to get to know me so that they can properly represent me. There may be qualifications on a description that is not on my resume; however, my life experiences prove I have a very strong ability to learn and succeed at most every endeavor I have attempted. I have succeeded in accomplishing two degrees, my BS I earned while raising three children and being married to a military man which required six different colleges, My MBA I earned while working full time and still raising three children. That alone takes a strong will to succeed. I haven't worked with a lot of the newer HRIS systems; however, I did help develop one during my BS internship. Companies I worked for did not chose to spend their money on these systems; however, everything the systems do, I did manually. I am just amazed at all the positions I see open and then reopened and I am not given any consideration. I am not necessarily looking for career growth at this point, I am looking for a stable company with a welcoming culture that can use my KSA's to help them accomplish their goals.

@Jennifer Young, my biggest blocker is job searching, applying, not getting accepted or not hearing back from the company or being disappointed/discouraged and that's the one thing that's holding me back, unfortunately.
