Frustrated
#foodservices #RetailCustomerService Hello, I hope everyone is having a great day . I just want to voice out that I am getting irritated with looking for a job. I'm 17 years old and it's getting harder to get a job out here more ppl require that your 18+ and have a high school diploma ... it's hard because I'm currently still attending school and things at home are hard b/c nobody has a job rn .. I've applied everywhere but no call back and I'm constantly calling to check up on the job but nobody knows anything ... can anybody give me any type of advise? Thank you

Don't be frustrated. You are still young and the world is out there for you. I don't know what area you are in but I thought you had to be only 16 to get a job. I also don't know what you are interested in but keep looking. Don't settle on waiting for a call back. Keep searching and don't look and contemplate on return calls. Try your search engine for jobs in your area. You will get welcomed to INDEED, MONSTER.COM and even JOBCASE. If you dont have a resume, work on making one and there are some good temp agencies. The unemployment office is a good idea too. God Bless you and never give up looking.

Try applying telecommunication like marketing job where they only require virtual conversation. This type of job physical age may not matter as much. Also, economy is going ok. Try applying grocery stores or fast food chain. Good luck! Sam

The job you're looking for should have gotten advise from school counselor before last day of school. The state you live are there any recreational parks(six flags) or the zoo. Best job results when underage starts at school.

Hi Angeleya!
I know it's hard because you are at that age where you really NEED a job, but because of your age it makes it tough to find one.
I would suggest checking with your local grocery stores, movie theaters, fast food restaurants community programs, and retail stores such as Target. You can see if any of these places are hiring by going in person or using the following steps:
1.Click on “Jobs & Companies” at the top of the page 2.Enter a job into the search field that says “Position” 3.Click on the blue button to search for that position in your area 4.Once the list is up, click on “View Job" of any you are interested in to apply.
I would consider applying in person to the jobs. Head down there dressed professionally with a smile on your face and ask to speak to the hiring manager. It's much easier for them to forget you over the phone sadly, but in person is different. Also put together a resume showing all the things you have done in school or any volunteer work or work experience in general. Hand this to them with your application and introduce yourself. Make sure to say that you are very interested in the position and that you would love to set up a formal interview sometime this week.
I am not sure if you would like this job, but have you considered baby sitting? I did this from 14-18 and it really helped me save my money for a car. I made fliers with my name, info and experience (if you have any with younger sisters/brothers/cousins that's a plus) and sent them around to my community. I also posted them up at the library and local grocery stores/coffee shops.
I hope this helps!
Hi again Angeleya, Great thing you decided to become a Caser. There are plenty of folks in here that will provide you with some great advice. Soak in the advice. As I mentioned to you in reference to your resume, a lot of companies want a resume now when applying so if you can definitely work on one. You can go to the unemployment office; it offers services to you for free. Wanda "T" Robinson
