Seriously frustrated
I became unemployed the last day of December. My company let 8 people go, the reason was lack of work. I found a great job in days. Before the week was over I had another job. The CFO who I reported to quit. A week later I was let go from the job. The company was insolvent and could not pay their bills. They were shut down. A few weeks later I found another job, not a good one, but it would pay the bills. It was a co being ran from his house A small co, but very reputable. I worked one day, and received a call from the owner the following morning and he said, he felt that I should be making less, and apologized for wasting my time. He told me that he could not afford to pay me. I'm beginnging to think I'm bad luck. I have a mortgage and kids to feed. I'm seriously frustrated. Why do employers do this.
Hi Tina Lorenzo - I don't think you're bad luck. I think you're just experiencing a little bit of bad luck right now - there is a difference! The fact that you were able to get two jobs so quickly after being let go from the first one speaks to your character and value as an employee.
I'm very sorry that you've had to deal with this.. but you know what they say! Bad things come in threes. I have a feeling that your next job is going to work out!
