People want to share their whole life story with you. You learn about their kids, the pets, their troubles, their education, and successes. Sometimes I think they think you are a therapist too, because they want to know your opinion, how you'd handle a certain situation and your thoughts about things. I don't know! It's not me and my life. You gotta do what you gotta do. We may not have the same beliefs and values. So, you just empathize and sympathize and try to be as open and general as possible, so not to offend someone.

Alligators eating pets in Florida, Bears and mountain lions attacking people and pets in Colorado, and water skiing in the ocean while being just plumpy enough to be an ocean predator's hors douvre. :)

Well you become somewhat of a counselor. Some people just pour out their lives to you and you listen to them.
