Being environmental friendly, I don´t like printing resumes to bring to interviews. The interviewer has the emailed resume and if they really need additional copies why can't they make copies? Recently a recruiter asked me to bring 5 copies to an interview- I asked if it was really necessary and she said yes. During the interviews, I was not asked for any of my resume copies. (!)

Resumes are preparing another way of how you work in the work you apply for. Some people look at that has they know you can do the work."Try IT", you will hired quickly.

Well it seems like if the office don't have a Fax machine, you could Fax the Resume to them, but really my Resume has changed a #Number of times to where i say, every 30-Days il make 3 Copies, then after that my Resume is Updated. Can we Argue about who makes the Copies, for a Better Understanding, if they should Be Hired that Person, Good Luck?

It is always best to bring one copy of the resume. The reason behind this is called preparedness and all interviewers are different by nature, culture, etc.

Being environmentally friendly is great, but it doesn't matter who prints them there's still a cost to the environment.

Understand. However, do you want the JOB? If so, please make 20 copies.

Well I Put My Resume On The Internet....So I drug up on a job last Friday-Before I could get home with my tools .I got a phone call from some guy I had never applied with asking if I wanted a job...Now I got a week in a new place which is actually a very good job...Go figure -I Put My Resume On The Internet

I recall my interview with the Escondido Public Library. I received a call to attend the interview. I arrived to learn that it was a "panel" interview... So glad I took extra copies of my resume. L

What do you want more, to save the paper required for 5 resumes, or to have a job?

The interviewer thats processing your employment should have one copy of the resume you emailed: and nothing more unless requested by the hiring manager.
I absolutely agree with you here. Another point is that with job boards and resources like LinkedIn, printed resume's are unnecessary and redundant. After going through the job search process myself, one thing I plan to do after I complete my IT certifications is to create a model that will standardize the recruiting process. Currently, the process is nothing short of stupid. Finding our next career move does not have to be so tedious and time consuming. Unemployed lives matter. ;)
