Vital Interview

Have finally gotten past the first round of interviews. In four days I will be having a face to face interview. I've been trying to get this position for the last 6 years. Needing any interview tips or website information to give me an edge and get hired

Back to the drawing board, almost to the point of just reapplying for my disability. Got 30 days to pull something out of my hat. Or somewhere else who knows. I've completed applications for all the factory jobs in this area that I am qualified for. Yet I feel like I am in a stalemate. The one thing that I have noticed while going through the process is. You can apply for a position on Monday and Thursday get the dreaded email. And week or so goes by and the position that you have been passed over for. Is reposted. Yet, they will keep your application active for 60 to 90 days. Please don't assume that we believe you are actually going to do what you say. Oh yes Nestle Purina interview went well. Seems like I was only missing a couple of things in my arsonal of work experience and knowledge. That turned out to be my Father and brother do not work in the Maintenance Department there.

Warehouse Associate at Hi Lex Company

Thank You Lois Martin, this was helpful. I often get questions that have absolutely NO bearing on the job I am applying for. One that really gets me is, where do I see myself in 5 years. I reply that this is a difficult question to answer. I did not see myself in this situation 5 years ago so how do I know what the future may bring. Another was when I applied for a warehouse position. They asked me if I was interested in furthering my education? I asked them, what courses would I take? When asked what I liked to do in my spare time, I told them I am kinda the neighborhood shade tree mechanic. I am rather good with machines and small engine repair and troubleshooting. They suggested mechanical engineering. I asked, how will a degree in mechanical engineering help either me or the company as a forklift driver? If I had such a degree, do you think it would benefit either of us for me to stay? No response. I am not trying to be glib in my answers, I just don't understand the need for all the trick questions they ask, and they sure don't seem to want the truth.

I feel like the interview went well and that I should have a positive response by mid week. Thanks
