Just be there to hear them out. Sometimes, whatever issues that the coworker faced may be a warning for whatever situation may come about later on in the workplace.

Depends on their reasons, if they are not happy in their position I would ask the reasons, they may need to speak to a supervisor. Are thre environment problems, it's too vague a question to give a good overall response.
