What should I expect on my first day working as a Dishwasher?

On your first day as a dishwasher, you can expect to receive training on dishwashing procedures, safety protocols, and how to use the equipment. You may also be shown how to organize and clean dishes efficiently. Remember to communicate with your colleagues and ask questions if needed. Many job search providers like Jobcase, Indeed, and Glassdoor can help you find additional tips for success in this role. Good luck on your first day!

This won’t be like doing dishes at home. You’ll be traind so don’t worry. A dish line for plates forks stuff dishwasher comes down over it done in a second. You have the sinks one with soap, one with water and the other with cleaner. Those are for parts of pants you’ll be washing those with your hands. You’re up working very fast very hard you end up getting incredibly wet but I loved it. I was a dishwasher for eight years. Good luck.!

You will probably just train for a few days until you familiar with the position. They will probably put you either on the sprayer end or the catch end, if they use two people. Catching you unload the dishes from the rack and put the dishes in the drying area usually or you will take them back to the service line. It's easy. The most important thing is when it's busy and time to move fast you have to keep up or you will get buried. If you don't like fast pace or can't keep up you won't like it.

They will spend some time training you, but then you will be largely on your own. It also takes a while for the skin on your hands to get used to constant immersion in water. After a few days, your skin will not wrinkle up anymore and you will be much more resistant to it. It's hard work, make no mistake, especially if a restaurant is busy, and when they are slow you will be cleaning and assisting the prep cooks.

It's a look around and hands on.U will get into the groove and be great!!

No one really Properly Trained me...... The other Dishwashers hated me for working more hours, n they got their hours cut.......

Dishes All jokes aside, A dishwasher varies from site to site. I would say to familiarize yourself with the soaps and bins you will be using. You should have soaking bins and a separate bin for sharp utensils. Do NOT allow knives in with other dishes!! Double check cups, glasses and other drinkware on the rim. I would have a bin with water and soap on the bottom and put the cups rim down in the water while you scrub the plates and get them in the washer. Anything caked on a dish should soak in its own bin. The rest can just run through twice. Same with bowls I would soak those rims if they need it. Usually, they are fine. They are also ok to soak with the cup rims. You should be sure to have a HOT water bin for silverware. Don't over crowd them either or they won't get clean when you run them through. A quick scrub from tip to tip with a green sponge or something coarse will do the trick after soaking. run the silverware twice. Keep your area clean. Be good to your co-workers. You will get busy at the oddest times. Just get the dishes done because the cooks will be pissed if they don't have anything to put food on. Good luck
You ain’t walking out of the dish pit dry
