Would you rather have amazing benefits OR amazing pay as a Employee Relations Manager?

Amazing benefits always make better impact than amazing pay. Amazing benefits strategy set apart the big 4. The pay is not that fantastic, but other benefits like high-quality training, an amazing work environment, fantastic people-centric strategy set them apart to attract and retain the best talents.

There are many benefits program organizations can embark upon that will be invaluable by employees and which id capable of getting employees engaged for as long as possible. #benefits

Thanks Paula. That is another perspective on it. However, you may also want to look at it from the perspective of the Pay strategy adopted by the organization in relation to the industry in which it operates.

The organizations I refer to in my earlier comments are the organizations that adopt the Match strategy. They do not pay more than the industry leader, they can however match the leader's pay. The records are there that they have the best set of talents. I am referring to big 4 accounting firms like KPMG, Enst&Young, Deloitte & pwc.

There are other strategies that have an answer to the quest you referred to. They are strategies like the Lead strategy. Another strategy is the Lag strategy. Organizations will only adopt a strategy that aligns with their short and long term plans...

Benefits may be appealing for younger workers but I have found that benefits won’t pay the bills and/or feed the family. With job placements now days that don’t seem to last for 15 & 20 years as in older days , Jobs are the here and now so you try to get on top of the moment.
