I'm seventeen years old but, I've graduated high school and I'm just looking for an entry-level full-time or part-time job in Philadelphia. The problem I frequently run into is that employers require me to be 18 years of age. That really limits my opportunities and I've been searching for a job since May and I just can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know places to seek employment that could be good for me? I'm willing to travel to the immediate areas outside of Philadelphia but, that's about as far as I'm going. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Please help!

Hi Jahvon! Welcome!
It's great that you're taking this kind of initiative. I know it's rough when you're not 18 yet, so for now I'd focus on looking for work at teen-friendly places like coffee shops, restaurants, retail stores and malls, movie theaters, ice cream shops. These sorts of places are used to hiring younger people. You can even work there UNTIL you turn 18 (just don't tell them that's your plan) and focus on better positions once you've had your birthday. You can actually do a search for positions by clicking "Jobs & Companies" at the top of this page and putting in your keyword and location. I hope that's helpful!
