Can always ask your local EDD office, they have many resources for attending career fairs, and know of open job descriptions in CalJobs.

I agree with Alexander. My son graduated college with a teaching degree and was unable to find a job in industrial arts in the area he wanted to live, so he went back to truck driving school with his buddy. In a matter of months they were trained and on the road making 3 times what he would have earned starting out as a teacher. They got a job as a team, which I believe is one of the highest paid, not counting transporting hazardous loads. Within a couple of years they bought their own truck and have a lot more freedom Check it out.

@Brenden Soliz If you’re looking for a career that pays 6 figures, I recommend considering getting your Class A license. If you’re interested, I can explain the steps on how I obtained my CDL. One of my best decisions I’ve made in my life, and with a truck driver shortage we can pretty much get a job anywhere.

Yes, there are hiring events for individuals seeking careers beyond minimum wage. Here are some platforms and resources where you can find these opportunities:

  1. Jobcase: Explore the various job listings on Jobcase to find career-oriented positions that match your experience and qualifications.

  2. LinkedIn: Utilize LinkedIn's job search feature and join relevant professional groups to connect with industry-specific hiring events.

  3. Career fairs: Attend local career fairs in your area, as they often feature employers looking for experienced candidates and offer networking opportunities.

  4. Networking: Reach out to your professional network, colleagues, and friends to inquire about any career-related job openings or hiring events they may know of.

Remember to tailor your applications and showcase your experience as an asset to potential employers. Good luck with your search!
