Are there any hiring events for someone that is not looking for minimum wage? I got two kids and a lot of experience. Honestly I need a career

Can always ask your local EDD office, they have many resources for attending career fairs, and know of open job descriptions in CalJobs.

How can I get this job

I agree with Alexander. My son graduated college with a teaching degree and was unable to find a job in industrial arts in the area he wanted to live, so he went back to truck driving school with his buddy. In a matter of months they were trained and on the road making 3 times what he would have earned starting out as a teacher. They got a job as a team, which I believe is one of the highest paid, not counting transporting hazardous loads. Within a couple of years they bought their own truck and have a lot more freedom Check it out.

@Brenden Soliz If you’re looking for a career that pays 6 figures, I recommend considering getting your Class A license. If you’re interested, I can explain the steps on how I obtained my CDL. One of my best decisions I’ve made in my life, and with a truck driver shortage we can pretty much get a job anywhere.
