Unemployment

I've been or was employed to AMS Aligned Medical Solutions. On april 6th I went to work ill. Very dizzy and nauseous. By 8am my boss Shawn Campeau came in. I asked for the rest of the day off. Tony Ramirez, gave me a ride to the clinic. Riverstone isolated me, put me in a room with a monitor. Dr. Mulvaney came on we talked. I left with a diagnosis for coronavirus. I call AMS Tell Shawn Campeau. Took a picture of what she said. After the 14 day quarantine, icall AMS Shawn Campeau. He tells me they got my shift covered, rest up. So I file my unemployment insurance claim. They deny me, two days later I receive a phone call from great falls. Tell me I qualified for benefits under New Rule ll Covid-19 Pandemic. Everything was gd I'd call every monday. Jeff Jensen the big boss. Leave my number, name. How I'm doin. And according to unemployments handbook I wait for AMS to call me back to work. Then the second week of August my benefits stop. Separation of job they say. But keep filing my claim. It's been almost two months with out income. Now this week my claim says laid off/ other reasons. I need some answers. I've done everything by unemployments handbook #unemployment #advice

Being laid off is good, that's why your taxes are pulled out of your check for that very reason, every year we stop working from nov.-feb when we return, unemployment benefits are there to pay you until you return, that's awesome for them to say that because the longer your laid off your timeliness will remain in tack to receive benefits, i hope this helped out

I agree with Sam. Also keep filing on your scheduled dates . It help to have a paper trail. Here in Illinois they make you file for regular UI first and proceed from there. Usually PUA kicks in and any other EB automatically. Have you tried your State representative or Gov. Alderman?,.. I would try them all. Squeaky wheel...gets the benefits!. Good luck stay positive dont get frustrated or lose hope. It’ll all work out Peace

Definitely check with your old employer to see what reason they said on why you were out of work. Depends on if you filed for UC or PUA. UC is a bitch if you quit your job. They look through your entire work history too. If you did file through PUA and got covid, furloughed or laid off you should qualify. Honestly call your city council and see if they can refer you to a nonprofit lawyer firm who can fast track your application
