The job fair is ALMOST here : )

The job fair is less than a week away, so let’s get you prepared! Check out the following tips to help you get ready and all set to GO!

-Print and pack at least 30-40 copies of your polished and updated resume. You will want to hand these out to all the employers you are interested in working for. It’s always best to print more than you need than not enough! Don't have a printer handy? Check out your local library for some assistance!

-Order some [business cards] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/cb795458-c78b-5403-abca-08908c09d94e). They make for a great “So nice to meet you” moment when you hand one to the potential employer. They will also help them remember who you are once the fair is over! You can order and print them at most office supply stores such as Staples OR even [make your own] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9cCo6E3BCg)

-Pack a pencil, pen, and a notebook. You will want to take notes! They will come in very handy later on when you get home and the whole job fair is a blur. List the company name and what you thought about each one as well as any other specific information right after you meet with them. Even jotting down something as simple as, "They have great benefits," will help jog your memory later on.

-Tuck a package of mints in your pocket or purse to grab throughout the job fair to keep your throat from getting dry and your breath fresh. Tic tacs are small and work great. You will be talking a ton!

-Bring and show off your positive attitude! Employers LOVE to see smiles and feel a strong handshake. If you’re nervous, take some deep breaths before approaching someone. It’s always better to take a few seconds to calm down so you can show your best self!

Good luck : )
