Let me tell you how I went from completing the online application to receiving an interview call back in 7 days: Apply online 1st! - don’t bother calling the store or forwarding your telephone number and/or email address if you haven’t completed the online application and assessment. You won’t be considered if they don’t have an application on record so find your local store and apply, (https://careers.lowes.com/). No Assessment = Incomplete Application - the assessment(s) are a vital part of the application process.Take some time and get it done!! Emphasize Customer Service Experience - construction and home repair/improvement experience is great but your application won’t make it past the application robot if there’s no Customer Service Experience outlined on your resume. Update the previous work experience on your resume with as much Customer Service Experience as possible. Check and re-Check your Application Status - save your username and password and log back into the Lowe’s career page to view the HR status of your application. Call the store’s Personnel Manager to follow-up on your application only when the HR status shows ‘Under Consideration’. Seasonal jobs range from Feb-Sept so you’ll have roughly 7 months to Make An Impression for a permanent position offer.
