Isn't by profession a nurse is also a caregiver. You give care to those who you help nurse back to health, etc. If you're looking for social worker positions (psw), you're going to have to take a slew of courses to qualify yourself as a mental health nurse (LCSW: Licensed Clinical Social Worker). But, your nursing gives you a background and that's where you have to start.

I have worked in the caregiver industry for many years. Worked at Alcohol counseling and learned how to be patient, emphatic, very good listening skills. I also created three new groups and counseled them myself. I'm a hard worker, love working with people, and can bring in new ideas. No im not a register nurse by profession im not a caregiver either when doing a interview for you only rehearse in advance to sharpen your skills for interviews only tell them what they is suppose to know and not what they want to know and keep your personal business and private stuff and things to yourself and on the work place and off the work place all ways use disinformation because if you don't use disinformation they will use all that information to destroy you as a person and everything about you and connected to you peace and much sucess to you

Maria, I think this is a VERY important question. You are a registered nurse, but you are seeking a caregiver position, which to me is a step down from being an RN. There has to be a reason for this, so you MUST be prepared to answer why you are switching professions. Are you an RN here, or in your native country?
