One of the most common mistakes people make with a forklift is failing to follow basic safety procedures. Operators often drive too fast, carry loads too high off the ground, overload the forklift beyond its rated capacity, or fail to check blind spots when turning or backing up. Another common issue is improper load placement, which can cause tipping hazards or dropped materials. Performing pre-operation inspections and maintaining awareness of surroundings are critical to preventing accidents and ensuring safe operation.”

Regardless of the safety features installed on the forklift, never under estimate the type of damage they can cause. Its best to always overestimate the machine and be safe than to underestimate the machine and cause you to be careless and unsafe

Never try to move a pallet that is too heavy for the capacity of the forklift. Also be aware of the center of gravity when lifting pallets into high shelving areas.
