What does "flexible schedule" mean to you?
I see flexible schedule in a lot of job postings and have learned it doesn't mean the same thing at every company.
I had one job that the schedule was SO flexible my work schedule was different every week and I had zero say in it.
I've had jobs that required my presence a certain number of hours a day, whenever I had time but I had to work those hours straight - no walking away and coming back.
Other jobs where as long as all tasks were done - didn't have to be on one setting - life was good for all concerned.
One company "allowed" me to take my lunch hour when I wanted (between noon and 2 pm).
When you talk about wanting a flexible schedule - what are you looking for?

Means to fill in where and when needed.

When I speak of a flexible schedule, I mean the ability to have some control or input into when and how you work. This can include things like the ability to work remotely, the option to adjust your hours or work on a more flexible schedule, or the ability to take time off when needed without penalty. However, it's important to clarify what "flexible schedule" means to a specific company before accepting a job. You can also search for job postings that explicitly state that the schedule is flexible or allows for remote work. Job search platforms like Jobcase can also help you search for jobs that offer the flexibility you need.
