You’re not motivated.
You might have woken up this morning full of energy ready to face the day OR perhaps you wanted to just pull the covers right back over your head and hide in your bed all day long. If you are the latter don't worry, it happens to each of us at some point!
Motivation is something we all need more of, but sometimes struggle to attain. Let’s face it, it’s incredibly hard to be 100% motivated at work or even in our daily routine every second of the day. So here are some tips to help you stay on track, whether you are on the job hunt, at work, or just living life.
Set goals Try writing at least 3-5 things you want to accomplish each day of the week! It can be immensely helpful as it gives you something to circle back to until the list is completed. Make sure to give yourself a little reward when you’ve finished all of your goals : )
Write yourself a note of encouragement Motivation comes from within and who better to motivate you than yourself? A simple, “YOU got this!!” written on a sticky note posted in your bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere you will see it can really help first thing in the morning when you’re feeling low. Remember not to be too hard on yourself. You could even consider finding a quote you enjoy [here] (https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=Inspirational%20quotes&rs=typed&term_meta[]=Inspirational%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=quotes%7Ctyped) and printing it out!
Reach out to family and friends Life gets so busy, but there is no better time to check in with your loved ones. Talk about the difficulties you are facing looking for a job, at work, or life in general and just know that you are NOT alone. Everyone has been where you are right now and they can certainly relate. If you don’t feel like chatting with your loved ones, talk to us [here] (https://www.jobcase.com/community) in the community! We are there for you.
Watch and read motivational stories or speeches Everyone deserves (and needs) a great pep talk every once in a while. Stay motivated by watching some great inspirational moments or speeches like [these] (https://www.ted.com/talks?topics%5B%5D=motivation) or read about them so you can suddenly feel a new sense of motivation to keep going! Surrounding yourself with positive things is key.
Just remember at the end of the day that YOU have got this and that your only limit is yourself.

I am motivated, but my wife isn't :*( she is having a hard time finding work!! We are both looking and it's pretty tough to keep her upbeat. I'll try some of the things here.

Hi. I am not giving up. I've been putting in applications this week and trying to stay positive even though I want to give up. I'm hopeful that Someone will give me a chance.

I love Ted Talks!!! My dad and I watch them all the time

If you can't pick yourself up and do the job you need to do, you're going to be worthless to everyone else.

We all need a little pick me up now and again. I have been doing that first thing you mentioned for the last 5 years or so and it does work. Everyone is different though. You gotta find what works and just do it.
It's always good to reach out to family when you need support that's for damn sure. I love mine.
