My co-worker and my boss both found out they had cancer. Both were out for surgeries and treatment at the same time. That left us with myself, one part-time office assistant, and the office manager. I stepped up my pace and expanded my abilities to make sure everything in the office remained running smooth along with our part-timer. When they both returned, I continued until the time that I had to leave (we moved to another state) to make sure they would remain in a good position until the young lady I had trained had a chance to come up to speed with things.
