Interview prep 101

So what IS the best way to prep? I don't mean to learn about the position, I am talking about how to interview in general. Are you turning to books, blogs, etc? What is the best way that you all prepare??

Stand in front of a mirror and answer you questions that you think they will ask. Use eye contact when answering questions know what your strengths are and your weaknesses. Research the company you have interview for. Be confident have a question in mind that if asked do you have any questions for them you will have one

Keep doing interviews, just go in thinking this is just prep work for the job that was meant for you.

Mark, I research the company on the web, and come up with three questions about the company pertaining to the industry they are in. I then go over the questions concerning past jobs, experiences, concerns, issues, best and worst scenarios, in my mind. I do this so that no matter what the interviewer asks, I am prepared. Everyone is different, and this is just my routine, but it keeps me relaxed, and feeling like I have some control. The key I find to interviewing is to not get nervous, so any way you can keep yourself calm should help. Good Luck...

Get your wardrobe in order and give yourself more travel time than you think you might need. Visualize the interview. Picture yourself as poised, confident, articulate. Make a list of your strengths and weakness and practice how you will articulate them. Write out answers to the questions you don’t want to be asked. It will help alleviate your anxiety. Good luck.

Hi Mark, to prepare I make a list with 2 columns. On one side I add "Job Description/Company Info" and the other "My Skills." I then make a list for each column and then match them up once I am done. This way when I walk into an interview I know exactly how the job can benefit from hiring me. It also helps me to develop my interview pitch when the inevitable "Tell me about yourself" comes up or "So, why do you want to work here?" I am prepared! Good luck! I hope this helps.

I come prepared with a list of about 7 interview ?'s to ask at the end of each interview that I actually got from this person's post https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/4f5e9248-bd18-54c9-9f8e-0f93df9bd775 I also make sure to eat breakfast so my brain works that morning. I research the company and its mission and do my homework. I try to just get ready for anything that may come my way. Best of luck.
