What does it take to get hired at Walmart’??
Can you breath ? If yes , your in. BUT seriously, they will take you even w/o a high school diploma and even not being able pass screening for some jobs. All or most of the associate (floor clerk) jobs are unskilled positions. The State of Colorado (voters) passed a law that most retail employees will start being paid $15/hr. starting in 2 years. RSB
Have an open schedule including weekends. Apply at all walmarts near you. One of them is bound to call you...no doubt. I applied 2x and both times I applied at a few locations. Both times a few walmart stores called me back to back. You can only choose one. Just make you sure you are willing and able to work different depts because they will work you...Good luck! You need to be available to work evenings and weekends because that is what they need a lot of the time.
Willingness to actually work, open availability, and a pulse.
Availability on the weekends (at least one day) is a definite plus. Usually always need stockers and deli/bakery help.
Their ideal candidates have open availability and able to work weekends and Holidays. Dress business casual for the interview and be open to learning different areas of the store.
