Self-care and mental health

While we are all going through this very difficult time and will likely be experiencing this for awhile, I think it is critical that we all take time out of our now very unusual lives to check-in with ourselves.

-Practice self-care as much as you can. -Make sure you are aware of your own feelings about this current situation you find yourself in. -Do at least 1 thing a day just for you. Go for a walk, be creative, take a bath, play music, read... something for your own well-being. -Meditate, even if it's something you have never done before, even 5 minutes of a guided meditation will help you stop, breathe, reassess, and reset. -If you have ever or currently struggle with mental health - stay aware. -Make sure you have action plans if you see your symptoms worsen or begin to change. -Can your therapist or psychiatrist see you virtually or even on the phone if you need them to?
-If you are on medication, do you have an adequate supply/correct dosage?

It's so important that we are all taking care of ourselves during this very trying time. It's easy to let it get away from you. Just do your best to make space for you.

Great message, Kris! A lot of self-care oriented sites and apps are providing free services right now - meditation, yoga, workouts
