But can you imagine that poor woman having to live with that name her whole life?

My father worked nights and slept during the day. One day I left my shoes so that he could take them to the shoe cobbler to repair the soles on the shoes. I went to school barefoot. All day long at school, in the classroom and on the playground, I was the butt of laughing guffaws and endless pointing fingers at my bare feet. But, at hte end of the day, I had the last laugh as the school principal's office gave me a new pair of shoes.

I am working at a grocery supermarket and a customer did not have sufficient money to pay for her groceries. I helped her pay for her groceries so that the line of people waiting could move up. She thanked me many times as a good samaritan. Discovered that was not the only person doing that and by saying I have $300 on my visa, but the cash register declined the transaction another time or they started removing some of the groceries selected to reduce the final payment.
