Yes it's like las vegas rigbt to work state, they can fire you anytime and don't have to give you a reason why becauze of the state right to work law It desn't make it right but the state is on the employer side

Denzel - The hard truth of the matter is that, unless you had an agreement in writing, "At-will" means either the company OR yourself can terminate that employment relationship for any reason, or no reason.

As someone else has suggested, this might be a great opportunity in disguise. As you have experience in hiring and operating your own, good-size, crew, it might be time to look at the possibility of going independent and being your own boss, and operating your own plumbing business.

Heck, going that route, your 'boss' is highly unlikely to fire ya! Though, 'he' (you) may yell at ya more than anyone else! Well, if you're married... LOL.
