How to create a modern day resume?
um i just dont know any more
want a job, need a job, got a resume but just dont know how to apply. with keywords, buzz words, inflated achievements and so forth, just dont know where to start. its a tedious, unencouraging way of applying for work. im so used to the ol way.
they have folks that are certified resume writers who they supposedly have in place to help out, but the help aint helpin, where does one go from
here? This has made me to the point where I can't apply for jobs because I don't know how too. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Honestly, when I was creating my resume, I looked at quite a few articles on how to make the perfect resume & whatnot. I also found myself feeling stuck & at a loss of where to start & what to do. The thing that finally actually helped was looking at resume examples for the job I wanted. Once I understood the format that most appealed to me, I chose my fonts & colors, then plugged my information into a google doc. After that, I applied for many jobs, using my resume to input the work experience & education I was most proud of. When I'd get hired, I'd add the experience to my resume. I also added a fun graphic acrostic (made in Google Drawings) showcasing my values as a worker to make up for some empty space on my resume. When it comes down to it, I think that viewing your resume with the mindset that it can be a creative way to showcase yourself professionally, as well as looking at examples from other professionals within your field of work (or the field of work you'd like to go into) can really help you get out of that rut.
