Terminated by Wal-Mart

I worked for Walmart off and on for 25 years this last time was for 17 years. They told me I was terminated because I made to many mistakes, first they told me I was to slow and couldn't keep up, I pointed out to them before they promoted me to management, I was going to be slow because I was handicapped (I only have one hand) but I kept my head down and did my work the man you promoted me said I was exactly what he was looking for. Thru the years he left the company and a new GTM came in. After pointing this out They changed their tune to I was making to many mistake but still they kept me dispatching 3 D'C'S (distribution centers) when a lot of people where dispatching 1 or 2 DC's there were a lot of times 2 people were dispatching 1 DC. At first they started accusing me of things I didn't do. I was on vacation and they said they tried calling me in for coverage, I was out of town and I told them I would be out of town I had family coming up to visit me and I would be out of town also I wasn't next in line to do coverage two other people were ahead of me on of the person that was ahead of me said they never called him to come in. Also I have document to back a lot of this up, and also I have tape recording of them falsely accusing me of thing I didn't do. I used their open door and when they terminated me I asked the HR manager what every became of the open door issues no one every got back with me, she told me they couldn't find any reason to allow it so they threw it out without even telling me. I went to a lawyer and he said they couldn't use the tapes in court because it was done with out their permission also he wanted $460.00 an hour which I couldn't afford. So I gave up taking it any further. This all happen in May of 2014 I suppose it's to late to do something about it now. I was 7 months away from turning 66 I thing that might have been one of the real reason they terminated me. Since then I have applied over 200 places to get a job and been refused. I sure they were behind that to. #Walmart is all about politics.

Center Store Lead at Food Lion

Hello this is former Automotive Team Lead from store 2256 Christopher McNeil. I’ve been with the company 19 years and never got into any issues or troubles my whole time there. One day we received a letter to the president about the warranty on our batteries. The customer was complaining about the warranty ran out on the battery a couple of days ago but it was in the the same month. I was told to call the customer and give them the battery but let them know that they can’t get another battery. So I was thinking that I should honor that to everyone in that situation to avoid any further letters to the president. I also bought a battery for my stepson back in June. He was getting his car work on and never put the battery in the car. Him and his girlfriend brought the battery back because I purchased the wrong battery. I got one of my associates to sign in on the register to do the exchange. My stepson doesn’t have his identification card so his girlfriend used hers. The battery was still good she just exchanged for the right one. I don’t think I should’ve been terminated for taking care of customers trying to avoid a letter to the president.

Senior Typist Clerk at Coroner

Heard it was SOP for Walmart to get rid of employees who'd been there for that length of time. Saves them money, I believe, is the motivation. As for HR? Yeah, I trust and respect NO ONE who works in HR.

Yes, my husband got fired. He got an extra point and it mad it 5 1/2 points. They made him go to the hospital that made him stay overnight. They don’t care about anyone. They told him to come back in and use the open door policy. That never works

Sales Associate at Walmart

I was terminated from Walmart after just turning 6 months and receiving in an associate award they fired me for a currencies which they said I had 5.5 which when showed only four makes sense but two of them I had previously talked to my manager about because I had talked to another manager about putting in time for a day I was scheduled and that day my daughters had winter formal I'm a single mother so I had to be there the manager told explain to me how to put it in I put it in before the day of winter formal and it was approved the manager also told me that I didn't have to do anything else because it was already in the system well I ended up getting two points for no call no show and I mentioned it to my manager and he said he would look into it and take care of it I explained the situation and told him the other manager told me I did not have to do anything else after I put my time in well for 2 months I've been asking them to fix my phone because it's wasn't uploading my schedule until I was at the store because it was on no other Wi-Fi besides the store Wi-Fi so when I get to the store so if my schedule to change I don't know if I don't go to the store but for 2 months I've been trying to get him to fix my push notifications which would allow my phone to let me know there were updates and would be able to get into work day and all that well I had gotten into it with 18 lead which she verbally me on the sales floor in front of associates and customers which both customer and associates said they would make a statement if I need it I had talked to my manager and told him I wanted to Open door and he said that he was going to have a sit down between me and my team lead to sorted out but that never happened and she still was being shady and trying to catch me doing whatever to get me in trouble I felt like I was walking on pins and needles as is but before they could get around to fixing my phone I had been scheduled on Wednesday which I'm usually off on Wednesdays and me thinking I'm off Wednesday it's been like that forever I was supposed to be off on Wednesday which wasn't the case I was off Thursday and was scheduled Wednesday so I had a no call no show and I explained to my manager what was going on with my phone I've been asking for two months for them to fix it but I ended up getting half a point for this day I was verbally assaulted by the team lead because I clocked out one minute early because I was crying for 2 hours after the incident which I said nothing but I'm sorry and that I was doing what she was asking me to do I didn't understand why she was so angry but a week after me thinking okay since I brought the 2.7 about formal which she said he would look into and fix which it wasn't the case he never got into it and he never looked into it and he never fixed it so I was stuck with four and a half points is what I was told and explained about but they're trying to say I had 5.5 which made no sense I feel like even when I brought up the open door a week after the same team lead finds these points and they terminate me on spot that same day hit the my manager and the same team lead that just verbally salted me and I wanted to open door and still have conflict with that wasn't resolved or talked about was right there smirking the whole time I felt like it was retaliation because I tried to Open door I I was terminated March 12th and I don't know what I can do as far as appealing it or who I could talk to to reverse it I wasn't given any options to what I could do besides signing the paper for termination and taking my last check which I was devastated because I love my job I was always the one who's willing to learn every area in the store from hardware to sporting goods to garden to seasonal to peril electronics sporting goods fishing license I was learning it all cutting fabric and whenever they needed somebody to come in they knew I was always there I felt like maybe my manager was put in a tight spot before he could fix my points or he forgot to fix my points and the team we found them he felt as if he couldn't fix them for me because it's not fair to others but literally I know on other occasions where he has fixed other employees points cuz that other employees have told me I just felt like I was wrong and I've never got a chance to proceed with anything on opening book I said I wanted to open book I wrote a statement he told me to keep and bring us together and talk and that never happened a week later I'm being terminated for points I don't even know where to begin or who to talk to to appeal or reverse the termination what should I do I love my job and I love working there and everybody always was fighting over what section of Walmart I was going to be in ever all the managers want to be in different sections because I they knew if they put me there I'd knock it out help I want my job back and now I'm stuck looking for another job and it seems impossible when you have a termination that just happened I feel like it's unfair

Crazy…my son was terminated while on leave for a back injury because they said he was a no call no show. But we could never contact anyone. Even when going into the store. Maybe we all should come together and file a petition. Seems like they discriminate against employees with injuries, sicknesses etc.

I have worked in restaurants and grocery stores for the last 20 years

I worked for Walmart for 8 years. Never been coached I was accused of threatening a coworker. Someone asked about my daughter who has been nothing but trouble for years, and I said I could never tell her what goes on down here or she’d probably come down here and try to fight. Someone else told my coach to hat I said I’d bring my daughter down to control an associate who harasses me. They said they fired me for texting my team lead for advice

I was an 8 year associate at Walmart. I was called in to the office for threatening another coworker. I really didn’t I only said I could never tell my daughter how this person treats me cuz she’d try to come and fight her. I said I would never do that. Some one told my coach I said I’d bring my daughter to fight her. That’s not what I said. I text my team lead for advice and they fired me for that

Display And Fixture Resets at Crossmark

Was fired for being sick with diabetes. Went to work sick and they knew but they didn't care. But what about asking me to put my life in danger stopping shop lifters literally chasing through the parking lot grabbing them as they walk out of store and this was managers asking me to do this and I was a stocker. Everyday someone threatened my like but kept on getting orders of who to follow.
