Experience vs.Degree
I have 24 years of great work experience but no college degree. How do you get your foot in the door with a good company? No one looks past the no degree.
Hi Beth Phelps - as someone who does have a degree, it seems that everyone is looking for experience over it. I am sorry to hear that companies aren't looking past you not having a degree. I think the experience a workplace provides is very valuable. I also think that at 24 years of great work experience, there is no reason to assume you aren't competent at your job.
Keep at it. You only need one place to give you a shot - and I am sure you will blow them away!
