Career Change

I currently have a job, but I'm looking for a career change. I'm 51 years old, a graduate student and working a full time job. I am tired of Human Services and direct service to client's with mental health and drug abuse. I'm no longer happy with the job, and I have been there for 8 years. How do I begin to change careers at my age. I'm so scared that I'm going to be stuck in this job even though I have great benefits.

Hi Lisa Williams , Ashley W. shared with you is great. A career self assessment is a good idea at any age and most neighborhood career centers offer these services for FREE.

Use the link below and contact the Maximus Job Center Central in Milwaukee, WI. Ask to speak with a Professional Career counselor and schedule a time to go into the office for the assessment. Career changes can be challenging if you son't have a clear direction where you want to drive your next career.

Good Luck and try to stay connected to this community. Lots of great advice being shared here. Thanks
