learn the register depending on job as well as give back correct change.. Some registers are easy some are harder but doesn't take long to get the hang of it

Well being a cashier u do handle money. If u work at Kroger or Meijer u r responsible for scanning the people's food make sure it's bagged properly. But the main thing is u r responsible for your till. Your money n your register u til time go home. It needs to all add up to what u took n and counting out at night. U also help your co worker out if they need it and your not busy.

When I was a cashier I would manage transactions using cash register I would collect payments in cash or credit Issue receipts refunds cross sell products and show new one and make money drops sometimes

Depends on who you work for. When i was a cashier, we dealt with customers such as customer service, checking people out, answering their question to where something is, or any question at all. Definitely cleaning, and as someone said above, some stocking when slow..

As a cashier you would deal with customers nice and irate you have to keep your composure they come take your time greet smile reassure as the second line person in the in the store
