Unemployment
I filed for unemployment and was denied benefits because my x employer lied and said that I voluntarily quit my job. The truth is, they forced me to retire early so they wouldn't have to pay me unemployment benefits. This is what they do to employees, they give you automatom to resign, retire, or get terminated. I got hurt on the job and filed for workers comp they got pissed because my claim was approved now they are black balling me. Everything I applied for got denied, I believe my x employer is behind it because I know I should have been approved since I didn't voluntarily quit. #benefits

Thank you all I'm am fighting for my survival it's so difficult without a car and job I rely on everything I get to pay rent

Appeal the decision

Hello Gwen, this is Drexel I'm just curious to know do you have a EEOC in your state? you should Reach Out to them file a complaint on your former employer and give them all the details and they'll take it from there, and contact you with info on the updates, hope this helps, Employee Equal Opportunity Commission

I am sorry to hear that.

Gwen, I had the same thing happen to me and my X-Employer had a long record that EDD didn't even bother checking when I fought it in person. After years they still keep tying to charge me for around $1,100. and Hell can freeze over before they see a nickle! Especially now since I see they've been paying prisoner's for decades and not changing a thing! Gary

Some of these jobs are just uncaring and low down I got sick July with Chronic asthmatic and bronchitis and High pressure issues went on a short term leave ended up blacking out while walking one day due to blood pressure apparently was to high I damaged both feet and ankles luckily no the ER doctor said they weren't broken but severely damaged intside couldn't walk at all on a walker 1 and half and in rehabilitation my doctor requested a temporary accommodation randomly 1/2 every 7 dys until they got my chronic meds and rehabilitation on track I reached out to my supervisor to see if I could just work part-time from home until my medical issues were on track he never seem to want to help me on my birthday nov 4 he sent me a letter of termination due to my chronic medical issues were unpredictable and foreseen and couldn't accommodate my doctor's request so they fired me that was on only source of income in still in rehabilitation because apparently my right foot and ankle was damaged internally worse then we thought so they fired me for having chronic issues

Employers will always have a educated excuse for not paying there fair share in life

Mine is still lying I got a letter that he is reporting me working Sep to way in October I have not he also says I'm getting 200 a week this is crap what do I do

Appeal. It's your time to tell your story be as detailed as possible, dates, names, times and tell them what happened. Your employer will have your file if they cant come up with strong data to proof you wrong . You win. If there is a employee handbook look up termination policy. Some places have 3 write ups then terminate. Have you been written up? If so be honest with details. If no write up prior I'd say you can win it.
Appeal. I’ve been through it! I have an amazing lady that helped me through step by step. Let me know if you want contact
