I worked for Pizza Hut in Baton Rouge as a delivery driver. I worked there EXACTLY 6 months to the day....meet issues a day, worked doubles and covered shifts for other employees. On May 5, 2015, the day I was there 6 months, I ruptured a disc in my lower back pulling breadstick dough down off a shelf. The discwas sitting on y psyiatic nerve running down my left leg....the pain was excruciating! I finished out the rest of my shift and delivered my last pizza hot, fresh and with a smile. I couldn't stand up straight or walk the next day, but I went to work on time. Needless to say, they had to file a worker's comp claim and my career at Pizza Hut was over.
