Loosing everything since I lost my job
I lost my job 3 days before Xmas. Been supporting 4 kids on 315 dollars of unemployment for 2 months now. My water gets shut off Tuesday and our landlord refuses to work with me on rent so he is filing eviction tomorrow. I'm 39 years old never thought I would loose my job and shocked I have been unemployed this long. I'm loosing all hope for finding a job. I have no clue what I'm gonna do when we get kicked out of our home. It's amazing how you work hard to provide a great life for your kids and live safe, and then with a flip of a switch it's all gone.. for every application I fill out, or resume I email I hope someone just gives me an interview. 20 years of sales, human resources, and brand developing and not one call. Sorry I need to vent because I've never been so scared. I hope any of you job seekers out there get your next job soon.
Hi Douglas Grace - reach out to local charities in your area. I can understand how stressful this must be, and that you don't want to rely on others when you can make money by yourself.. but this is a time when it is not a weakness to ask for help, it is a strength.
