Feeling defeated or weak? - Increase Power by Increasing Accountability

Do you want to feel more power in your life? Don't you seek a feeling of being untouchable and bigger than your current problems? If so I have a route to this power and the route is through extreme accountability.

Accountable - adjective

  1. (of a person, organization, or institution) required or expected to justify actions or decisions; responsible.
  • This means whatever happens in your life, you believe you had some part in it and although it may not be your fault you contributed to the situation and more importantly you hold the solution.

"If I got hit by a car drving, I would be like damn I left the house too early today" Gary V

Here are 2 huge reasons accountability causes increases in power.

  1. You can see more opportunity. Let's say your neighbor has a broken coil on their stove. This is a problem because its broke in a way that if heated again it might shatter into hot flying pieces. You have no visibility to this problem so its impossible for you to have a solution ready for it. However if the neighbors house catches fire this will have a huge impact on your safety. Although we don't feel responsible for some issues they are usually near and will affect us.

When we take an accountability stance on our life it puts all problems in our own kitchen and thus shapes our thinking toward solutions. Even if you are aware of a problem if you don't think you are accountable in anyway your mind won't bother coming up with solutions. You can see more opportunity when you increase accountable because our minds are natural solution machines when we own a challenge.

  1. You eliminate victim energy When you decide you are the solution to every problem in sight you own the stance of hero or potential victor. The opposite is victim energy which forces one to seek an oppressor. Less time spent on finding someone to be a victim to, can free up time to be spent on solutions. The benefit is you show up more confidently in life.

Action Step 1- Today try to catch yourself telling a victim story and blaming someone or thing for where you are in life currently. When you notice this thinking find a way to be fully accountable. List the ways you played a role in what happen even if all you did was show up.

Step 2 -The next step is a move toward solutions, however I want to emphasize doing this from a place of power which means focus on step 1 mainly. This is the place to apply practice.

-To Being The Hero Of Your Story.

I clearly understand what you are stating about not being a victim but a Victor or victorious by placing blame or finding solutions to any problem .I believe if more people understood what or how other people's reflections can be deflected from your personal life such as child molesting,or a rape victim something that a person has no visible ideas of dealing with what another person brings upon us is their problem and issue that had been passed down from someone who had did this to them.but giving people the power to deal with the circumstances of their life is far more challenging than a mere result of a what if ??? Possibilty of a gas leak or something like that to be compared to what you are stating ,which brings me the evaluation of one's thoughts of overcoming any situation that can change the whole thought process of negative into positive by helping others whom have been through the same thing instead of the person that continues to cause the problem you solve the problem by breaking the chain of the negativity that one's had bound you from seeking closure you create closure by setting the example if finding solutions instead of being a victim to any circumstances in one's life whether it be minor or major think big !!!!

It's interesting if you talk about "victim energy" because I think it's very common of human nature to want to blame ourselves when somethings are purely out of our control. I think we grasp at this because we want to fix what happened and somehow solve the issue. As Jason Roberson says, be the hero, NOT the victim! Always a fan of your posts my friend : )
